Type one command in Claude Code and get a 20-second launch video of your app, with animations, transitions, music and sound effects. No editing, no screen recording.
It uses Brag, a free, open-source Claude skill: https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag. Watch example videos at https://latent-spaces.github.io/brag/ to see what you'll get.
Setup takes about 5 minutes.
What you need
| Tool | Check it's installed | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Claude Code (terminal or desktop app) | claude --version |
| 2 | Node.js 22 or newer | node --version |
| 3 | FFmpeg (renders the video) | ffmpeg -version |
Run each check in Terminal (Mac) or PowerShell (Windows). If one says "command not found", install it.
Mac (needs Homebrew):
brew install node ffmpeg
Windows (PowerShell):
winget install OpenJS.NodeJS.LTS
winget install Gyan.FFmpeg
Close and reopen your terminal afterwards so it can find the new tools.

1. Install the skill
Open Claude Code and paste these two lines, one at a time:
/plugin marketplace add latent-spaces/brag
/plugin install brag@brag
Quit Claude Code completely and open it again.
Check it worked: type / in Claude Code. You should see /brag in the list.
2. Open your project
In your terminal, go to your app's folder and start Claude Code:
cd path/to/your-app
claude
In the desktop app, just open your project folder instead.
3. Type /brag
/brag
That's it. Claude will:
- Read your project's code
- Work out your app's main features
- Write a storyboard
- Render the video with music and sound effects
It takes a few minutes.
4. Get your video
Everything lands in a new folder in your project called brag-output/:
brag.mp4, your launch video- the plan and storyboard
- share copy, a caption you can post with it
Make it yours (optional)
Add options after /brag, or describe what you want in plain English.
| Want this? | Type this |
|---|---|
| Vertical video for Reels, TikTok or Shorts | /brag --format vertical |
| Square video | /brag --format square |
| A different vibe | /brag --tone chaotic |
| Your own vibe | /brag --tone "fake Series A launch from 2016" |
| Set the length in seconds | /brag --duration 15 |
| A voiceover | /brag --voice |
| No music | /brag --no-music |
Tone presets: default, polished, yc-parody, chaotic, deadpan, cinematic, app-store.
Plain English works too:
/brag this. Make it feel like a ridiculous startup launch, vertical for Instagram.
If it doesn't work
- No /brag after installing: quit Claude Code completely and reopen it.
- "Node.js 22 or newer is required": run
node --version. If it's below 22, update it (brew upgrade nodeon Mac, or re-run the winget command on Windows). - "ffmpeg not found": install FFmpeg (see "What you need"), then close and reopen your terminal.
- The render fails or stalls: run
npx hyperframes doctorin your terminal. It checks your setup and tells you what's missing. - Want the latest version: run
claude plugin update brag.
Not using Claude Code?
Brag also works with Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, opencode and more. Install it with one command:
npx skills add https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag --skill brag
Then ask your agent: let's /brag.
Brag is an open-source project by Latent Spaces, not an official Anthropic product. All credit to them. Made a video with it? Tag me @hohjd.ai, I'd love to see it.
